  1. Be Yourself

Write in your own voice. Truly! No need to sound like someone else. Does your style lean towards heartfelt sincerity with a touch of humour? Or maybe you prefer poetic and romantic? Let this be your guiding star.

2. Use Storytelling

Share your favourite or pivotal memories to highlight how you've evolved together or what makes your relationship special. This is a great way to weave in your personalities.

I remember one specific day, 8 years ago in the Grampians, it was raining so hard, no idea what we were doing trying to climb in such crazy weather, we didn’t have a rain jacket back then so we used our bath towels to shelter us, as we were walking, you turned to me and said, “Your princess days are over”. I thought to myself, “What a nut job”, and I didn’t fancy you very much after that.

But look where we are now ... you care and love me unconditionally, even when the going gets tough.

3. Acknowledge Challenges

It's fine to acknowledge challenges you've faced or difficulties you've overcome together. Being real and honest creates intimacy and emotions.

Try as we might though, life isn’t always easy. There have been many times of happiness but also times of sadness. There were times I felt lost, but you always found me again. Days that were heavy, and you lightened my heart. Long periods of isolation and pandemic lockdown, but we always made the best of it.

4. Express Your Gratitude

Thank your beloved for being in your life. For example, you could mention their unwavering support, boundless love, and the happiness they bring into your world.

Paul, amore mio, spending time with you continues to be my greatest source of joy.  You are kind, patient, loyal, loving and clever. You always push us to try new things - even when I need a little encouragement at times - and being with you makes life infinitely richer.

5. Look to the Future

Share your dreams and aspirations for the future together. Whether it's traveling the world, becoming pet parents, or buying a tiny home in the countryside, let your partner know what you're excited about.

6. Practice

Once you've written your vows, rehearse them! Why not share them with a trusted friend or your wedding party? The more you practice, the more comfortable you'll be on the day.

7. Reach Out to Me

I'm here to support you every step of the way! I can be your extra set of eyes, help you fine-tune your ideas, and ensure a seamless flow.

Writing personalised vows might seem daunting, but it’s easier than you think! Keep it real and make them uniquely yours, and you will shine on the day!
