Decoding the Dollars

The Value of Your Wedding Celebrant

When it comes to planning your wedding, the question of $$$ is like having an uninvited guest at your dream wedding party. You can't ignore it!

One crucial aspect that deserves your attention is investing in the right celebrant. Your celebrant is not just another item on your wedding checklist; they are the heart and soul of your ceremony. They set the tone for the rest of your wedding day.

A celebrant who connects with you and tells your love story in a way that resonates can make your ceremony unforgettable and transform it into something extraordinary.

You might be thinking, "But won't such a celebrant cost more?" The answer is likely yes. Because with a pro celebrant, you're not just paying for their time on the day of your wedding, you're investing in the preparation, creativity, and expertise that they bring. You're investing in an experience that goes far beyond the price tag.

Breaking Down the Dollars

Melbourne celebrants can charge a range of fees, typically falling between $900 to $2,000.

What should you keep in mind when making this important decision?

  • Professional Expertise: Look for a celebrant who is a pro, a true master of their craft. They'll bring a depth of knowledge and experience that allows them to handle every aspect of your ceremony with grace and nimbleness.

  • Presentation Style: Your celebrant’s vibe needs to be aligned with your vision. Some celebrants have a formal energy, others are cheeky, while some work the crowd like a stand up comedian. Think about what works best for you.

  • Personalisation: Your love story is one-of-a-kind. Look for a celebrant who will personalise your ceremony and tell your story. A pro celebrant knows this only comes from showing genuine interest in getting to know you both and creating meaningful connection.

  • Travel and Expenses: Depending on the location of your venue, your celebrant may have travel and other expenses. Spending a few extra dollars to secure your ideal celebrant at your dream venue is almost always a worthwhile investment.

  • Bonus Features: Some celebrants go above and beyond, offering ceremony planning guides, assistance with vows, and other resources throughout the planning process. Don’t be shy to ask. A pro celebrant will always be happy to talk about the extra value they can bring to your day.

What I Do

With over a decade of experience in the wedding industry, I bring a blend of warmth, joy, and sincerity. Drawing on my background in the theatre industry, I move between moments of excitement, laughter, and grounded presence, so that your ceremony unfolds in a way that connects with everyone and speaks to your souls.

I’m known for the deep relationships I create with my couples. It's not uncommon for guests to ask how long we've been best friends; that's how comfortable and strong the connection is between us when it comes to the day of your wedding.

My approach to preparing you for your ceremony goes beyond the ordinary. I put plenty of time into empowering you to make choices that align with your values, allowing you to be fully present and open during your ceremony, so you can soak up the experience. I’ve honed a ceremony planning process that guides you every step of the way. This includes exclusive access to an online portal with a wealth of resources, from a ceremony planning guide to a curated collection of readings and vow examples. You'll also find everything you need to know about the NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) form.

My fee includes 30 minutes of travel from Brunswick, Melbourne. For locations further afield, a small travel fee will be added.

I'm here to support you, guide you, and celebrate alongside you!

Your Wedding, Your Choice

While costs may be a factor when looking for a celebrant, don’t compromise on quality for the sake of a lower price if you want a celebrant who is deeply invested in you and your story.

Ultimately it all comes down to what you value.

If you dream of an exceptional personalised ceremony, be prepared to invest more for this - it will be worth it!
